About Framlingham Weather and Chris Plant!
I captured this image of a total solar eclipse on 29/3/06 while in Side,Turkey.
I've been interested in the weather for as long as I can remember. Perhaps in part it is due to my hobby of astronomy; needing to know cloud cover, temperature, wind speed and direction, all of which affects the 'seeing' through the atmosphere.
Although I have always used rudimentary instruments for measuring weather, on a recent trip to America I was able to purchase a professional weather station. It is a Davis Vantage Pro2, which provides accurate readings of almost all weather observations. With the advent of the internet I can now bore billions of people throughout the world.
The weather station is situated in Framlingham, Suffolk UK, on high ground (near the water tower) in a perfect place to remain unaffected by effecting conditions that may tarnish the true results. I also supply the towns website with their live Weather data. Visit Framlingham.com HERE.
